This Privacy Policy explains how CozyBreak handles your data.
1. Data We Collect
CozyBreak is designed with privacy in mind. Here is what we collect:
- Local Device Data: Your scores, progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using browser storage. We do not have access to this data.
- Feedback, Bug Reports & Sign-In: If you voluntarily submit feedback, report a bug, or sign in to the app, we may collect your name and email address. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry, enable account features, or improve the app.
- Usage Analytics: We use analytics tools like PostHog to understand app usage patterns. Data collected may include country-level location (derived from your IP address via Cloudflare), device type, and app usage patterns. Any data collected is anonymized and aggregated where possible.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Precise location data (we only collect country-level via IP)
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Data to sell or share with advertisers
3. Cookies & Storage
We may use minimal cookies or local storage to:
- Remember your preferences (sound on/off, theme)
- Track anonymous usage patterns (if analytics are added)
- Enable essential app functionality
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: For security and performance. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and basic request data in accordance with their privacy policy.
- Ko-fi: For donation support. When you choose to donate, you interact with Ko-fi's own privacy policy.
- PostHog: For usage analytics. We use PostHog Cloud or self-host to keep data private. PostHog's privacy policy applies to any data collected.
5. Children's Privacy
CozyBreak is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Data Security
Since all user data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for protecting your device access. We implement reasonable security measures for any data we handle directly.
7. Your Rights
Because all your data is stored locally, you can:
- Clear all data by using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings
- Prevent analytics by not using the app (no data is sent without analytics being implemented)
- Request deletion of any data we may have collected by contacting us
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app.
